LEAVE RULE TO USED LEAVE
CASUAL LEAVE [CL]
As per rules of 7th CPC Railway Employee can enjoy 10 days of casual leave per year but for only Ministerial Staff it is 8 days and they will have 2 days restricted holiday (RH)leave. They can use casual leave as their own requirement. at a time they can used all Casual Leave as per requirement. the Casual Leave may be used in between Rest or Holiday and also you can avail Holiday in between Casual Leave. you can also take CL then Rest then Holiday the take CL in at a moment. Casual Leave earned for a employee in first day of the years. Also a Employee can avail ½ (Half) CL as per his requirement.
LEAVE ON AVERAGE PAY [LAP]
As per rules of 7th CPC A Railway servant, permanent or temporary, other than one serving in a Railway School Railway is entitled for 30 days LAP in a calendar year. Employees LAP are credited in two part in a year. First half in January and second half in July. LAP credited 15 days in the first half and 15 days in the second half after seeing their previous 6 months performance. The credit for the half year in which a railway servant is due to retire or resigns from service shall be afforded only at the rate of 2 ½ days per completed calendar month up to the date of retirement or resignation. When a railway servant is removed or dismissed from service or dies while in service, credit of LAP shall be allowed at the rate of 2 ½ days per completed calendar month up to the end of the calendar month preceding the calendar month in which he is removed or dismissed from service or dies in service. LAP leave can avail as per their requirement. When an employee take LAP and Rest or Holiday are fall between LAP leave then the Rest or Holiday will be treated as LAP. If permanent Rest or Holiday are fall after LAP leave then they can avail Rest or Holiday.
Carry forward of LAP balances and it is earned upto 300 + 15 days.
LEAVE ON HALF AVERAGE PAY [LHAP]
As per rules of 7th CPC A Railway servant, permanent or temporary, other than one serving in a Railway School Railway is entitled for 20 days LHAP in a calendar year. Employees LHAP are credited in two part in a year. First half in January and second half in July. LHAP credited 10 days in the first half and 10 days in the second half after seeing their previous 6 months performance. If a Employee is in RMC or PMC the he can avail his LHAP as a commuted leave.
