The Indian Railway operations are currently divided into 17 Zones. Each zonal railway is made up of a certain number of divisions, each having a divisional headquarters. There are a total of sixty-seven divisions.

Kolkata metro is also a division of Indian Railways headquartered in Park Street, Kolkata making Kolkata the city with most number of Zonal Headquarters of Indian Railways in India
