1. Smart Health Card System:

UMID provides a unique identity to all medical beneficiaries individually through a unique number. Along with a unique id number, there are some smart unique features included like web-enabled QR code and biometric identity with common database at an all India level.

2. Web & Mobile Application:

Access the medical card from your mobile device or through the web portal. Download the official Android app from the Play store and save your id card in mobile. You can also download QR code on a paper to e-validate your details.

3. Automatic Generation of OPD Slips:

Now access medical facilities in any railway hospital or private clinics and generate automatic OPD slips with the help of a kiosk installed in hospitals.

4. Fully Electronic Platform:

How to Register and Apply for UMID Railway Medical Card?

The complete process of registration and application for UMID health card can be done in 3 simple steps:

Access:

You can visit the official website of UMID to start the process. Alternatively, you can download the UMID card mobile app from Google Playstore.

Registration:

  • Choose Type of Beneficiaries (Employee/ Pensioner/ Other’s).
  • Identity Particulars (PAN, Date of Birth and PF number).
  • Mobile Number Registration.

Initiate Application:

  • Login through OTP.
  • Initiate New Application.
  • Fill up details of Self and Family Members.
  • Upload Relevant Documents (as per checklist) and submit.

  • Photograph of Employee & all the dependents

How to Fill the Application Form for UMID Cards?

The first step to get a UMID card for railway employees is to register for UMID card online. The different fields for registration are:
  • PF/ Employee number (11 digits)
  • PAN number
  • Date of Birth

After successful registration, proceed to apply online for UMID cards. The following fields are required to fill the online application form:

For Dependents of Employees

If you are a pensioner or a dependent of pensioner, then the first step to get a UMID medical card is to register on UMID website. The following fields are required for registration:
  • PPO Number (7th CPC)
  • Date of Birth
  • Date of Cessation
  • Pensioner Type (Primary/ Secondary)
  • Pension Scheme (with/ without FMA)
After successful registration, you can proceed to fill out the online application form to get a UMID health card. The following fields are required:
